About the project and its materials
Legis Cortex is a tool in development for analysing individual legal provisions and classifying the different dimensions of their meaning: what a provision requires and of whom, when it applies, which exceptions limit it and what it depends on.
This site presents the project and its demonstrations. They are built on one act, the Polish Labour Code (Kodeks pracy, Dz.U. 2025 poz. 277), whose structure, sentences and references detected in the text were read by a working prototype. The layers marked “worked example” and the bill in the lawmaking demonstration are illustrations prepared by hand, not results of a finished product.
All materials on this site are informational and demonstrative. They are not legal advice and do not replace an analysis of an individual case.
Any result, connection or interpretation shown here needs to be checked against the official text of the law, in the version that applies on the relevant date, and in its context.
